Birthday Wishlist

Bonjour,
Yay.

it's still a bit more than a month until my birthday but I though that it was about time to make a wishlist. It will be the first time of not having my birthday during the holidays and I will be in London on a class trip on that day. I don't really know what to think about it yet, haha. But let's get back to the wishlist. I love to create these and I thought I'd share time with you. Yay.

I really need a new purse and I've been searching for one that I actually like for ages, so here are three.
I really need a new jacket for winter/ autumn, so here are two that I like.

TGIF, es ist Freitag! Ich wünsche euch allen ein super Wochenende!
It's Friday, so I hope you all are having a great weekend!

August

Ahoi mates,
August is nearly over and I'm going back to school in a bit more than a week. The holidays got over way to fast, sigh. I don't even know where the past five weeks went. I have been spending my holidays actually doing stuff for school, spending time with friends, doing sports and leaving room for quite some creativity. I have started properly writing again and I don't even know how and why. Some inspiration appeared out of nowhere, haha. It's funny though because no one has ever read any of my writings and I feel like keeping it that way for quite some more time. A friend once told me how she finds it fascinating when people write and that she has a lot of respect for those people. I don't even know, it's actually just being clever with words. I'm definitely not trying to say that I'm a good writer with that, but for me, writing just just something really freeing and it gets stuff off my mind. And if we're talking about being clever with words, I feel like sometime it's really hard to say things in the right way in English, since it's only my second language and I can express things a lot better in German. So I thought about going back to blogging in German, but according to my blog statistics I have got quite a lot readers from the United States and other none German speaking countries, so it basically would not make sense to blog in German only. I've got the idea of blogging in both, German and English, simply as a test for some time. Obviously the English texts will be shorter than the German ones, which is caused by, as I said, the ability to express it better in German. It's going to be a lot more work, but I'm going to try to put up with it, haha.
I hope you're all enjoying your summer, and don't have a really rainy one, like me!

Yay, so we have a photo of a late night writing session on the top left, then my girls and I last Monday on the top right, my lovely boys from the band Split (check them out) on the bottom left and a very motivating photo after a short running session on the right.

An UK Trip with a GoPro

A Trip To London, Eastbourne and Brighton

Ahoi mates,
it's  the Monday of my second week of the summer holidays. On Friday the 25th a friend and I flew over to the UK for a trip to London, Eastbourne and Brighton. It was not our first choice by the way. We actually wanted to go to St. Ives but it did not work out so we had to make a plan b. Our trip did not start really well and we started off with a plane delay of two hours and a tube delay of about another hour. We arrived at our London hostel at 9 pm instead of 6 pm. After checking in we went from Bayswater to Euston to meet up with my American friend Courtney for some Nandos. It was lovely seeing her again since the last time we saw each other was back in March. Here's a horrific selfie of us in the tube right before we practically ran out of it at King's Cross.

After the very satisfying Nandos we went back to our hostel which was alright I guess. The London sky looked stunning that night.

The next morning we took the tube quite early to Victoria to catch our train to Eastboune. Let me tell you something, backpacking sucks. A lot. Especially when your backpack weighs as much as an elephant and does not even  fit you.
After a train ride of an hour and a half, waiting for the bus for ages, a short bus ride and a way longer walk into the wrong direction we arrived at our camp ground. Here's me drowning under my rucksack and us being awesome backpackers.

To describe Eastbourne, it is a lovely city but it's atmosphere is destroyed by the depressing flair of only old people living there. I am not even lying when I am saying that ninty percent of it's habitants are over the age of 65. The rest of the people there are young families and kids on trips there to learn a better english etc. Beachy head, which you can visit on the Hop On, Hop Off tour is stunning and the sightseeing tour is pretty cool itself.

Brighton fitted us way better. There were a lot more younger people and rainbow flags everywhere which made me really happy. The trip there was really good for us since we were getting depressed by only having old people around us.

The day we went to Brighton half od the Eastbourne Pier burned down and we only heard about it in the evening when we returned. The next day we went there we were pretty much shocked. The Pier looks like the scenery of a horror movie. It is really saddening.

The day we went home we went home with a bright smile on the face. We had a great trip there and a lot of fun, but camping is not for us or at least not the way we did it. We laughed at lot and talked about basically everything.
But in the end of the day Eastbourne seems to be for old people and not for people our age. We got some lovely recommendations for another trip though, haha.
I hope you all are enjoying summer, wherever you are.
